We have been homeschooling for a little over 12 years. My kids range from 3-16 now and we have learned a few tricks along the way. The first being that toddlers are busy bodies and they need to be kept entertained! The very best way I have found to do this is to keep things short in time and change locations. So, when the big boys are doing work at the dining table, Wyatt (3), will grab a box and work on something at the table. When it is time to do a language assignemt we move to the library. Just the small change in atmosphere or switching from something art related to something manipulative does amazing things for attention spans. It allows me to teach the older kids while simultaneously teaching Wyatt to be independent. Win-Win!
I have linked all of our current boxes below. I do switch them up weekly with things that we have on hand. Leave me a comment if you would like for me to post an update when I change the boxes so you can have more ideas.
